Well done to our Moroccan Trekkers!
A huge well done and thank you to Mark Neal, Stewart Mireylees, Ed Rainbow, John West, Steve Willis and Stuart Hendry who all took part our Moroccan Three Peaks challenge to climb the 3 highest mountain peaks in Morocco and raise funds to support Beaumond House.
The team travelled to Marrakech on the 10th July to start their 10 day trip and following 2 days trekking into the High Atlas mountain region, the first peak, Mount M’goun standing at a height of 4,071m was successfully climbed. The team then went on to climb Mount Timzguida (4,088m) and finally Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa at 4,167m
Mark Neal said “The trek was physically far harder than I had imagined, with long, steep climbs and the effect of reduced oxygen at the higher altitudes, but each days activity was absolutely fantastic with views and experiences I will never forget”
Our very own Sunshine Bear also joined the trekkers in their challenge!
