Bereavement Support Counselling

Losing someone who you love or care deeply about is very painful. It is also a highly individual experience.

You may experience all kinds of difficult emotions and it may feel like the pain and sadness you’re experiencing will never let up. Grief can be overwhelming and can leave you feeling out of control.

These are normal reactions to a significant loss. But while there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there are ways to cope with the pain and sadness that over time we learn to live with.

Our Beaumond House Bereavement Counselling Service offers individuals or groups the opportunity to explore thoughts and feelings. The Bereavement Service is available to all families of patients who were known to the Hospice.

We will help anyone who contacts us seeking help with bereavement and refer to other agencies and more specialist support if required.

"I still feel very much part of the hospice. I pop in very regularly and no matter how busy everyone is, I never feel in the way and I continue to get great support from my family. I look forward to these visits and every time I walk down the drive to the house, I feel like a big comfort blanket is enveloping me and whatever pain I may be feeling, the world is right again.."

The NHS Friends and Family Test

Beaumond House Hospice Care want you to have the best possible experience of care.

The NHS Friends and Family Test is a way of gathering your feedback, so we can continually review our service.
