Carers Support
Carers, wives, husbands, civil partners, parents, grandparents, sons, daughters, friends or neighbours … it can be anyone of us.
Carers come from all walks of life, cultures and are any age. You might not think of yourself as a carer, you might consider yourself as just looking after someone you are close to you; you are a carer.
The physical, emotional and psychological needs of carers can all too easily be overlooked.
Beaumond House wrap care and support around patients, their families and carers. We hold a monthly carer’s support group where patients attend Day Therapy, to then allow their carers to attend a coffee morning with other carers to share their experiences and talk openly in a safe and private space.
We also offer Complementary Therapy for our patient’s carers as an extra layer of support and much needed respite from their caring role.
“She and the nurse got on so well, she was always friendly and jolly and became her friend. Beaumond House were absolutely brilliant. They gave her comfort and made her feel safe. They uplifted her and gave her umph back.”
