There are so many ways that you can make a real difference by giving a little of your time to help as a volunteer at Beaumond House.
Volunteers have always been an essential part of the hospice and never more so than today.

We would love to grow our team and there are lots of ways that people can help.
Volunteers are essential in day therapy where they ensure there is always somebody to serve a welcoming drink, a friendly face to chat with, help with activities and to serve lunch.
If you have an interesting hobby or skill, that you could share for an hour or so at the day therapy sessions, please do get in touch. Some patients find it difficult to get to the hospice so drivers are needed to help with a lift to get them there at the start of the day and to collect them at the end.
There are lots of behind the scenes tasks too which are vital. Help is needed with food preparation in the kitchen and to make sandwiches at weekends.
Weekend help is needed too on the reception to answer the phones and welcome visitors. If you enjoy gardening or are handy with a tool box we have lots of jobs to keep you busy. For example we would love to develop our herb garden for the kitchen.
There are lots of opportunities to give a hand with fundraising, whether it is selling raffle tickets, packing shopping bags or helping at the organised events. “If you have ever thought about being a volunteer please take the next step and give me a call,” said volunteer co-ordinator Lucy Millard. “Please help the hospice, your time really does make an enormous difference.”
