Newark-based charity, Beaumond House Hospice Care, has launched a new lottery scheme to raise essential funds to provide supportive palliative care to the people of Newark and Sherwood.
In partnership with Your Charity Lottery, Beaumond House is offering supporters the chance to win up to £10,000 through a weekly draw.
For just £1 a week per game number, supporters could win one of 82 cash prizes on offer every Friday - a first prize of £1,000, 80 prizes of £10 and a rollover prize from £200 up to £10,000.
Matt Colbourne, Fundraising Manager at Beaumond House Hospice Care, said:
“We’re very excited to be offering this new fundraising initiative, which will not only support the charity financially but also give something back to our supporters.
“Fundraising is vital to the survival of Beaumond House and can be quite challenging - it costs around £2.2 million this financial year for us to deliver our services and, as hospice care isn’t fully funded by the NHS, around £1.6 million of this must be raised.
“The new lottery will give us a long-term, fun way to raise invaluable funds, at the same time as giving our wonderful supporters the chance to become jackpot prize winners.
“Setting up a lottery can hold a lot of costs and red tape, so a big thank you goes to Your Charity Lottery for their support in providing us with a risk-free fundraising tool - and good luck to everyone who signs up!”
Supporters can now sign up to the lottery scheme and those who sign up before the end of February will be automatically entered into a draw to win a Samsung Tablet.

While ensuring every draw is legal and compliant, and that all data is secure, Your Charity Lottery looks after player queries and distributes winners’ prizes, as well as producing promotional materials to make it as easy as possible for organisations, like Beaumond House Hospice Care, to run lotteries for fundraising.
