Beaumond House is delighted to have been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark ® (MQEM)
The focus of the quality mark is on the design and use of built environments. However, it does not just consider the physical environment, but also considers how far the physical environment is designed, used and managed in a way that supports high quality care, and in turn, contributes to the enhanced wellbeing of people.
Some wonderful observations were made, including
“Everyone is provided with a very warm welcome. They are greeted as they enter and offered drinks on arrival. Many users said it was like coming home”
“Laughter was heard to ring through the building and people were quick to offer their opinion or make comment”
“Caring, loving, outstanding, clean, safe, homely, welcoming, friendly, organised, accommodating”
“Families are kept abreast of the patient's condition and encouraged to come in at any time they are worried or just wish to visit. This visiting approach makes for a very open and transparent service where families feel their loved ones are safe and well cared for.”
