Celebration Fundraising
From weddings and civil partnerships to anniversaries, landmark birthdays or retirement collections, your celebration can be made even more special by asking family and friends for donations to Beaumond House in lieu of gifts.
If you’re planning a wedding or civil ceremony, you might consider asking your guests to give the gift of kindness and make a donation instead of buying you a gift. If you’re including this information on your invitations ensure that you let your guests know why you have chosen Beaumond House and how they can donate.
If you would like to include the Hospice in your special day or celebration, please contact us. We’d love to hear about your plans and can provide collection buckets, boxes or gift envelopes and balloons for you to decorate the venue.
If you'd prefer to collect money for your celebration online you could set up an online Fundraiser on Facebook, alternatively you could set up a Just Giving page. Remember to share your fundraiser with your friends and family - you are giving them the opportunity to contribute to a cause important to you. Make sure you also thank people when they donate - you are the reason they are very kindly supporting our work.
Suggested Wording
For my birthday/wedding/anniversary this year, I'm asking for donations to Beaumond House Hospice Care. I hope you will consider celebrating my special day with me by donating.
Beaumond House Hospice Care is a registered charity committed to providing supportive palliative care to patients and their families living in Newark and Sherwood. Providing compassionate, skilled, professional, personalised nursing care of the highest quality for those with active, progressive, advanced illnesses, both in the hospice and in the community. Beaumond House offers personalised care for you and your family, when every moment matters.
By donating you are helping to ensure that end of life care is there for everyone that needs it now and in the future.
Thank you for your support!
You might also consider making a donation in lieu of favours, instead of traditional sugared almonds or chocolate hearts for your guests, you could make a donation to Beaumond House.
Many couples choose to include a little message on their wedding stationery to let their guests know why they have chosen to donate. To find out more, please contact our Individual Giving Fundraising Manager, Andrea Ward.
